I am currently in my third year of studying ceramics, and one of my favorite projects so far has been creating this sea urchin-inspired teapot. This piece allowed me to blend functional design with artistic expression. I was inspired by the intricate textures and organic forms of sea urchins, which I incorporated into the teapot’s surface. I used an oceanic theme throughout the piece on the lid and handle. Crafting it required careful attention to detail, particularly in balancing aesthetics with practicality, ensuring it was both visually striking and fully functional. This project deepened my appreciation for the interplay between nature and art and further developed my technical skills in ceramics.

To me, creativity is an alternative way of learning, giving me the ability to explore and express topics through the humanities, including art.
