Tears of Gold

Jenesis D

  • Dance is one of many forms of artistic expression that I practice. It’s the ability to understand hidden emotions. I went through many emotional experiences and chose to understand and interpret them through dance. ”Tears of Gold” was self-choreographed when, recently, I finally started to feel like I belonged in dance—when I let my history of being left out go. I also consider this moment and the choreography one of my highest peaks in the style and constantly reflect on it. The performance demonstrates the time I felt lost and constantly gave myself up to the dance life, leaving just a little genuine joy, expressed during the blindfolded beginning. As well as the freeing joy of being able to be confident and feeling strong in my dance skills in the environment I’m placed in, once that blinding fear was removed.

  • Description tThrough 15 years of dance experience as a hobby and in competition, I’ve defined the creativity of dance as a wordless expression of genuine emotion. Each genre tells its own story, touching both performers and audiences alike. The creative power that dance has builds lasting connections within communities and individuals.ext goes here
