My film is based on a true story that has been commonly happening in teens. During these past few years there has been an increase in amount of addiction to social media. Watching peers, friends, etc slowly waste their precious time away when they could be doing something exciting. With this film I hope to spread more awareness about the possible things they could be doing and accomplishing rather than just scrolling through Instagram, TikTok, etc. I am specifically interested in creating this film because I can relate to this topic, as I see myself getting stuck on the screen for large portions of time. I remember on one Saturday I spent about 10 hours on my phone. With this film I also hope to motivate those teens who need a little boost to get going, whether it’s filling out college applications or starting a new project.

Creativity means the ability to expand and utilize my imagination. I believe creativity can be used to express thoughts or feelings, whether that’s in a short film or in a photograph. Creativity is like a spark that needs to be lit, and when lit it goes a long way.
