• Artist Statement

  I wanted to paint the picture of a hopeless child turning into a hopeful young adult, despite my environment breeding otherwise. many adults in my life now comment on my optimism, independence, and justice; and I want to forever leave room to talk about where I come from.

• Creative Statement

  thinking creatively has always been the center of my life. building, problem solving, drawing, crocheting, writing- I like any activity that requires critical creative thought.
