A representation of my daily life, this art piece depicts my numerous identities in the form of selfies. The selfies of me at school represent me as a student, the mirror pictures in various locations showcase my daily life, the photos I took with friends reveal my identity as a friend, and the camera snapshot I took in my motherland highlight my duality as a Korean immigrant. The term “selfie” may seem trivial at surface level, but in reality, selfies are photos unique to each individual. Landscapes can be replicated, photos of still life can be taken in similar ways, yet selfies are the only form of photography that cannot be replicated, just as how my identity is distinctive and unalterable.

Creativity, in terms of art, means the ability to create a piece in a unique way that the world has not been seen before. In addition, creativity also refers to the way one expresses oneself or a message.
