This artwork is a combination of what I learned in class which was watersheds, resistance and solidarity. The iconography is about palestine, the left tree is an olive tree interlocking with a yemeni socotra tree and a cambodian palm tree. It shows the roots interlocking with each other showing our strength together and resistance and solidarity. I worked really hard on this art work and I think the hardest part for me was trying to add texture to the bushes and trying to get everything perfect. This was also my first watercolor painting that i’ve done and i think it came out good, The pen work also took a long time trying to get it perfect and I also like how that came out.
