• Artist Statement

  I took this photo using a bright light to cast shadow on the subject and a tripod to stabilize the shot. I sought to represent flaws in our prison system including lack of rehabilitation and dehumanization.

  To me, creativity means transforming the ideas and details we observe in our lives into self-expressive pieces which inspire emotion and further creativity. Creativity is change.
