• Artist Statement

  These pieces are inspired by a month I spent living in Japan. I loved everything about the country; the people, the food, the culture, the art. I was inspired by the sense of calm and community in the rural towns and coastal areas, and tried to incorporate that sense of home and familiarity into my work.

• Creative Statement

  To me, creativity means having the skill and ability to express yourself in ways that you might not be able to otherwise It also means being able to come up with new ideas, and being inspired by the world around and within you.
