• Artist Statement

  It is a piece of non-fiction inspired by the movie Ladybird and my own experiences with my mother. I wrote it in the middle of November, as I was applying for colleges, and cut the words down to submit it here. I’ve changed our names with careful attention to the initials of our names, to better tell the narrative.

• Creative Statement

  I think creativity defines my worth. The ability to create, to conjure up something new and original from nothing but the space in your mind is, in my opinion, the only true form of intelligence, and to hone this is to grow my skill to live.
