This is my second book in the Marinara & Alfredo series, dedicated to showing kids that science is fun! By presenting science through entertaining storytelling and explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way, I hope to encourage today’s youth to consider pursuing STEM careers in the future. In this story, when Alfredo falls and scrapes his knee, Nurse Gnocchi explains the fascinating process of wound healing. From blood clotting to white blood cells to skin repair, it’s a process that I hope children and adults alike will find fascinating!

I think of creativity as a form of leadership - it is being different, trying something that hasn’t been done before, and finding a way to solve a problem in the world. For me, I think we need more scientists - girls especially - and I hope my writing makes a difference.
