Keep Calm and Carry On

  • In today’s world, people have become desensitized and absorbed in the constant stream of media that disastrous events pass by with little more than a fleeting thought. The endless cycle of violent information and entertainment has numbed the public, causing critical issues to blend into the background of daily life. The blurred figures represent this mass of disengaged individuals, passively consuming without truly caring about the suffering. Meanwhile, the central figure stands apart, aware of the tragedies around him, yet frozen by uncertainty on how to act in a world that accepts inaction. This highlights the divide between those who see the world for what it is and the overwhelming pressure to conform to the indifference of the majority. It also questions how we can remain human in a world where ignorance has become the norm, and wonders what it takes to break free from the apathy that surrounds us.

  • To me, creativity is the ability and freedom to transform my inner thoughts into physical and tangible things. It’s an outlet that allows me to express my perspective and ideas on things that are happening in the world through painting and drawing.
