While messing around with some simple chords, trying to make them anew, I made a small melody that I mimicked with my voice, and added lyrics to. I was inspired by a close friend of mine, and chose to release my pent up feelings on her mediocre boyfriend in the version of a song, liberating my feelings in a cathartic and profoundly musical way. I guess I have to thank her boyfriend for driving me to write this song, as it’s a favorite of mine and brought tears to the eyes of people who listened for the first time. Since this is a newer project, I only have a demo to present, and I intend to expand upon it, layering more voices and meaning in future production.

To me, creativity means the output of emotions through media. Whether it be physical, visual, or musical, emotions expressed by the artist give the audience permission to feel.
