Forever, the End and I

Recently, my work has taken on a preoccupation with the apocalypse. Maybe it’s the times we live in, or just a part of growing up. However, my goal in this piece was to focus not on the massive-scale destruction that comes with conventional ends of the world, but on a surrealist human angle. When we die, the world ends for us, after all. But our worlds are always changing, and you could view that as destruction in itself: leaving home. Losing people we care about. Falling in love. Every time, the reality that we thought we knew shatters into nothing, and every time, we have the opportunity to rebuild our existence.

Creativity is the ability to translate what’s inside your head to the outside. This could be problem-solving (figuring out how to achieve a target solution) or artistic, where the vision that anyone could have becomes something real and appreciable by others in the form of art.
