”Fanfare” is an uplifting piece that represents my high school experience, beginning with a celebration of joy and connections I’ve formed—happiness I didn’t find in middle school. The second half transitions into a frantic dance, reflecting the complexities of being a teenager. With happiness as its main theme, this piece aligns with my goal as a composer to spread joy, hoping to bring the same connections and happiness to people and communities that I’ve had since freshman year.

Creativity is deeply personal for me. Creativity means exploring my emotions and transforming them into stories and ideas through sound. I love using music to create something that represents my experiences. For me, creativity is about transforming experiences and feelings into something meaningful that others can experience.
