The artwork involves someone who is in a difficult emotional position. He has to decide whether to read a letter left for him that he found while on the way to an important event. I first wrote a script, then directed, filmed, and finally edited the artwork. There were many revisions along the way after I found certain things that didn’t fit or were unnecessary. I tried to show the character’s emotional struggle with deciding to read the letter through darker colors, distanced angles, and his deliberation. I chose to the character to have two coats to further push the idea that he had to choose one thing. I started with lighter colors in the bathroom to emphasize the contrast to darker tones for the rest of the film.

Creativity means being able to make a story from anything. It means seeing opportunities for improvement where others don’t. It means finding new ways to do something or doing things differently. Creativity can be simple or complicated but it will generate surprise.
