This piece was inspired by the emotions and voices that go silenced in our community, households, and surroundings. There often comes a point when everything built up inside of you reaches its maximum, and there is no release. We reach our boiling points, and yet we must remain quiet and not burden others with our emotions. I created this piece to exemplify what that feels like, as though everything will boil over and spill out.

Creativity, to me, is the ability to express myself without feeling constraint with ”right” and ”wrong.” It’s the opportunity to problem-solve and discuss current issues in our world, while being an outlet for my own emotions and thoughts.
