I took this image at our county’s art museum during an internship I had there where I helped install an artwork that involved the ribbons coming out of the building. It was my very first experience volunteering for anything like that, and tried to capture the scene as vibrant and intense as my emotions during it.

I feel that it’s a reflection of my inner growth over the years. Before high school, despite longing to, I had never tried art in fear of failure. So the more risk I take in my creativity, I feel as if unlocking and understanding a previously hidden part of myself.
