I am creating a series of paintings about my college journey as a mexican first generation student. Anything was the first piece to this series and I wanted to start at the beginning of my journey of dreaming of who you can be. The main message of the painting is when you’re a little kid there are endless possibilities to what you can be when you’re older. In this painting I attempted capturing that moment with my little brothers dream of becoming Batman.

Creativity is a gateway to expression and it helps me express who I am and I how I feel to others. When my words falter I can pick it back up with eraser shavings and smudged graphite on my fingers.
