In this piece I wanted to depict what a nights can be like as a student--hours spent studying late, having little to no time to invest in creativity or letting oneself simply imagine. This piece is inspired by my own experiences and the background is very much like my actual room. Similarly I have spent many tiring nights working on both academics as well as my artistic endeavors. Here I wanted to show how at this specific hour of 2AM my brain switches and is at peak performance to get in ”the zone”. I aimed to make the illustration very dreamlike and vivid; mimicking a sort of fever dream.

Creativity is a skill that many people oftentimes fail to truly acknowledge. Creativity and originality go hand in hand, and unfortunately many people tend to ignore originality in favor of satisfying what they see as ”perfection”. To me creativity allows for free expression--flaws and all, making something that’s your own.
