Nostalgia
For this film, I was tasked with creating a thematic montage. My goal for this film was to invoke emotion within the viewer. Most of the film is with my friends who I spent a lot of time with last year but not as much this year since I transferred schools. Thinking about the time we spent makes me feel nostalgic which is why I added it in the film. All in all, I feel like I was able to create a film that I think is special to me and my friends.
Eye for an Eye
After watching "Vinland Saga", I was inspired to create a film about not having enemies and forgiving other people.
The Creature of Castle Rock
I wanted to make a horror film with my friends and I had a state park close to my house with the tunnel shown in the video and I figured that it would be a perfect prop. I tried to build the film around the tunnel where it climaxes up to the tunnel, then it simmers out until the last scene. I used a selfie stick with a bluetooth start and stop button to capture my footage.
In Class Video Project
This student made video truly depicts that one can make a high quality video out of a raw high school classroom life.
Green & Blue
I used to think (maybe still) that being Asian American means you have to choose one. Either be Asian, or American. As I'm turning 18 next year, I have to choose a citizenship - which leads me to a choice to choose ONE and leave the other one behind. One of my consideration was family. the people I love. But instead of leaving them, I could work hard and bring my family to the US.
Deceleration of Life
A montage film comparing a busy life and nature. I was inpired when I see the beautiful scenes on campus during my hard time in acadenmic. I wish I can share this idea of slowing down our pace in daily, and look for the worderful detailed things that are hard to see when we are going fast in life.
Tribulation
This film is an abtract piece, exploring the life of a teenager and her fears. She goes about her daily life, with some odd tendencies, and it is a horror in the end. The film is more abstract, something I have never tried before.
