Variations on a Theme by Corelli in the style of Tartini, F. Kreisler

David K.

  • This piece showcases the virtuosity of a musician and I was honored to be able to perform it for an audience at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Kreisler wrote this piece in the style of his idol Tartini. He wrote three variations based on a melody that was originally composed by Corelli. Each variation is different, the first variation is fast, the second variation features trills that sound like birds, and the third variation features of bombastic melody played by chords

  • It means making something new and special that others can enjoy when they hear.
