  • TW: depictions of grooming and eating disorders Adolescence is like breakfast in that the first meal and the first major benchmark for maturity heavily influence what remains of the day or that child’s life. In this collection, I used metaphors surrounding salt, eggs, and milk to explain growing up with emotional vulnerability, appearances, opinions, and learning about love. This collection is based loosely on my own childhood and the lessons I took with me as a teenager and soon-to-be adult. I aimed to portray three different anecdotes of the same development, and with each added ingredient, shape a clearer picture of how those events supplemented one another.

  • Creativity is a lens through which to see the world that allows you to appreciate things in their unrefined form and understand new concepts with a malleability inaccessible to other traditional approaches.
