I wanted to create something nostalgic and dreamy in a deep sea or aquarium setting. I loved collecting shells and trinkets as a child so I thought attaching some of the shells I've collected as a child would achieve the nostalgic feel that I wanted. I also wanted a bright colors to create a contrast for the dreamy feel so the subjects of the painting would come to life from the locker door. My goal overall was to create a piece that would bring the audience to another realm, one that is nostalgic to me.
