Prelude in G Sharp Minor by S. Rachmaninoff

Brady H.

  • My interpretation of this piece is virtuosic and emotional. A lot of practice went into different aspects of this piece. The piece is very technically challenging and requires a lot of nuance. I spent a lot of time finding out what I want the piece to sound like. I have a lot of inspiration from different performances, such as Evgeny Kissin and Vladimir Ashkenazy. This piece has a lot of emotional depth and I tried to bring out the feelings of sadness and turmoil from the piece.

  • Creativity is how much you can bring out your own voice. It is your own artistic interpretation. Creativity is one of the most important traits and can be found everywhere.
