As I grow older, my grasp on my core values and interests is slipping as I lose sight of my passions in the whirlwind of academic pressure. Mother of Pearl is a visual articulation of those fleeting moments of clarity. Where I can feel my origin and my true nature, and it absolutely overwhelms all of my senses. The juxtaposition of the psychedelic hues and the serene shell displays that clarity can oftentimes feel all encompassing and impossible to fathom. Ultimately this piece is a tribute to rediscovering the self aided by nature.
