As I grow older I realize more and more that I don’t know who I am. This piece is a reflection of that; Parts of myself fade into obscurity overtime— but, as old ideas make way to new ones the cycle will continue. I used a mix of dry brushing and palette knife painting to create a distinct difference in textures symbolizing things fading away becoming less sharp while the ‘newer’ things are more in focus.

What creativity means to me is innate humanity. Making art has always been like breathing to me to be creative is to be human is to exist.
