In creating "Elegy for the Lost Luminary," I was drawn into the captivating and complex tale of Lucifer. This piece is very close to my heart, as it reflects on the idea that even those who have fallen from grace have their own stories, filled with light and darkness. My journey with this artwork started with a fascination for the duality within Lucifer's character. It was important for me to capture the contrast between his former glory as a luminous angel and his current existence shrouded in shadows. I used a mix of dark and light colors to symbolize this dramatic shift in his being. The darker shades represent his fall and the sadness that comes with it, while the lighter tones hint at his past brilliance. I poured my emotions into this piece, hoping to evoke a sense of empathy and deeper understanding of Lucifer's story. It's more than just a tale of good versus evil; it's a reflection on themes like redemption, loss, and the complexity of character. This artwork is a personal invitation to the viewers to see beyond the conventional narrative and explore the layers and nuances of a figure often misunderstood. This project was a journey of exploration for me, not just artistically, but also in how I view stories and characters that are traditionally seen in black and white. It's a reminder that in every story, especially the darkest ones, there are shades of light waiting to be discovered and understood.

For me creativity is taking the simplest things, ideas, or ideals and creating something that can affect others and influence introspection and curiosity. Creativity is a force that unites and fosters empathic ways, often being that the creations are the purest form of a person's emotions, experiences and stories.
