This is a charcoal piece dedicated to my cat named Ophelia who passed away in the year 2018. The title is a metaphor to the love and sadness brought after her death. Ophelia was a very unhappy cat and kept her distance with humans, but after she passed I came to a realization of how much I really loved her and how important she was to me. It really goes to show, you don't know what you've got, until you've lost it.
