My piece is a manifestation of the mix of emotions I feel when I experience art block. The gray bands which somewhat resemble tv static and movie tapes represent sameness and a lack of veriety and new inspiration i see during various stagees of art block. The background is dark and empty, with the exception of mint colored stars which represent the heaviness I feel and pressure to make art when I have no inspiration. The girl in the middle is engulfed by her old, boring sources of inspiration or perhaps artworks she may have cringed at in the past. I chose to use acrylic paint as my medium to be able to work with a wide range of colors and textures on a canvas.

Creativity is the force that drives me to outdo myself or add meaning to my works. Being creative with an open mind lowers my stress levels and makes me enjoy my past, present, and future experiences. Since I draw humans/anime, I love seeing creativity in character design the most.
