• Artist Statement

  During a rainy day in early December, I ventured out into the community to try to capture the gloomy and eerie mood. I found a really nice young man who was okay with me taking photos of his work and after following him around for a while I captured the photo submitted. I felt as though it encapsulated the mood by masking his identity with only a small portion of his face showing. Though simplistic in nature, I felt like the image captures a moment and invokes emotion from the viewer as there is not a lot of context. The contents of the image have not been edited though the contrast and overall color of the image were slightly tweaked.

• Creative Statement

  It allows me to get out of the classroom and really be myself. I think it is important for all to find something they love doing and pursuing it, even if it is just a hobby.
