"Where I'm From" is a special one for me. I created this short film with the intent of it being nostalgic and youthful, as well as completely authentic to my childhood experience. Growing up in Petaluma, California, I filmed at several locations that meant something to me. Additionally, everything that I touched on in the narration has some significance to me. Throughout the film, I touch on the sports I used to play, my morning carpools to middle school, my favorite stuffed animal, and many more things that are close to me. When filming, I took time to observe each location carefully, as I intended this film to have little coverage, and wanted each shot to be as perfect as it could get. I had a great time creating this short film, and I hope it resonates with its audience as it does with myself!

My love for filmmaking has allowed me to meet a bunch of amazing people, learn how to collaborate, and make new friends. Attending the Cinematic Arts program at my high school has given me the opportunity to explore my creativity everyday, which energizes me and makes me happy.
