Prior to my performance of my piece, I spent lots of time practicing and preparing for this competition. The Wieniawski Violin Concerto No. 1 is a very technically challenging piece, and adding personal interpretations and style is also extremely difficult. While I have had opportunities to refine my performance of this piece, such as performing with the East Bay Youth Orchestra and submitting recordings for other competitions, the rigor and technicalities of performing this piece are still strenuous.

I enjoy exploring and expressing my creativity through music. I can also give back to the community by performing concerts in retirement homes and giving free violin lessons to underprivileged youths. In addition, music allows me to keep an open mind, helping my mental health.
