Inspired by The Amazing World of Gumball, this piece tries to convey the desolate yet comforting feeling of idly sitting on a couch. The two subjects are seemingly stranded in the middle of nowhere, yet relaxed. I've certainly felt this way and I'm sure others have too. Painting this helped me communicate the joy of solitude and inactivity, as well as the eeriness of it.

Exploring creativity helps me find balance. In a state of mental turbulence, I can resort to drawing to calm myself down. Drawing for me is a healthy outlet to express myself and connect with others. I'm able to establish friendships with people over a shared interest in the arts.
