• Artist Statement

  Creativity is the ability to express oneself in any medium. One of the reasons I love photography is the chance for me to find my own point of view no matter the situation. Looking at the world through a creative lens helps me get through the day. I had noticed the texture of metal, and saw light flooding through the rectangular tunnel on the side of the container. However, I didn’t see the texture and color of the metal on the inside of the tunnel until I took the picture. I found a solid piece of steel that fit at the end of the tunnel, and placed it in order to buffer the light. When I first saw this image, I thought it was a portal to another world.
