• Artist Statement

  Our song is a modern classic by the great bassist Steven Lee Bruner (aka. Thundercat), who uses a creative sampling technique to make a compelling groove. As this song has a structure that conforms to most modern gospel tunes, we decided to add a jazz gospel feel with many creative fills and breaks. This was done live with no metronome. This was on the spot improvisation, and added a "human" feel with our playing style to the track.
