Theatrical Performance

Cecilia B.

  • Every day I work hard to improve at dancing, singing, and acting. Depending on the day, I work at each of these aspects of musical theater in my garage by myself, during lessons with instructors, or at rehearsals with directors. My acting is shown through a monologue by Juliet in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. To demonstrate my vocals, I selected "A Cockeyed Optimist" from South Pacific. I recently worked with my dance teacher to choreograph a dance to “I Can Do That” from A Chorus Line.

  • The stage is my happy place and I love every second of the auditioning, rehearsing, and performing process. Exploring my creativity through theater has given me immeasurable joy daily. I hope the work I do to tell stories also brings the same thrill to the people in the audience.
