The Origin

My artwork "The Origin", is a school project based on the Australian Aboriginal Creation myth of how the world was created. The Creation myth details how spirits and gods came to a world of absolute nothingness, and anything they created became something, as in a mountain, a canyon, or a river stream. And, the aboriginals believed that any significant or weird geographical anomalies were representative of the spirit of a god, and they believed that in order to keep this spirit alive, they had to keep a linear progression of that spirit. So, any pregnant woman would have to make this trek to a specific location and touch it, for example, a mountain, in order to pass this spirit onto their child.
In my artwork, I represented this through the geographical anomaly of the mountain, which appears almost out of nowhere in the desert. The river that leads from the mountain is also unnatural, displaying its supernatural properties, and in the river is a light that represents the god's energy passing from the mountain to the people, who are in the village in the foreground.
Also, overall, I wanted to create an overall aesthetic and nice-looking painting that had natural aspects.

Creativity is simply the expression of whatever emotions that are unique to you and should be a result of your thoughts and experiences. In my life, I am able to express many things that I have in my mind and portray them in a beautiful way.
