Since I was a young boy, I had always been fascinated by the concept of photography and the idea that one could freeze a moment in time. It almost seemed to me almost like a type of time travel. As I grew older, I developed an eagerness to get ahold of a camera and see what I could do. When I was given the opportunity to take Photo 1 sophomore year I saw this choice as the portal. A portal to a new perspective of the world, a photographer's perspective. I could now be the person who took the photos and freeze the moments rather than the person who would observe famous photographers' art.

Exploring and expressing my creativity impacts me because it really shines a light on my life. Oftentimes, photography is used to highlight sad or sorrowful moments but I generally like to use photography to lighten the viewer's mood or get a laugh out of the viewer.
