Sunflower

"Sunflower" was taken during an outing with my sister and her friends. We went to a pumpkin patch in Livermore, California. It was sunny and the atmosphere was dry. There lay various pumpkins of beautiful tones of orange and different shapes and sizes. While I was walking with my sister and friends, I realized that this was the perfect opportunity to take photos and apply what I had been learning in my photography class. I remembered that my favorite activity in photography was learning about macro shots.
I saw this gorgeous and tall sunflower. The sun was hitting it just right, so I needed to take this photo! I started off by trying to capture the tallness of the sunflower. Then I tried to capture different angles. Once I zoomed in, I realized all of the details that captured my eye, and lead me to take this photo. I love that this photo shows all of the warmth that I felt from the sun. I also love how the shadows of the petals seep through, creating different layers and depths to the photo.

Exploring my creativity impacts my life because it helps me express myself in a different way. I can show my perspective and ideas to other people who may think differently. Expressing yourself can also inspire the people around you and can spark creative ideas.
