Darknight of Balcony

I photograph a lot so naturally I have many contending photos and I usually like to ask around wondering what photo will capture the most eyes and be liked across the board by people and peers. I took this photo at my old apartment on the balcony and getting the right lighting when is dark is really hard to do but I have always been attracted by the idea of lighting in photography and that's what I wanted to portray through this photo. My name originates from Greek meaning light and normally light is associated with the sun and having a radiate personality with this piece the main focal point is the moon and the light is it able to bring essence through the photo. When you look at the front tree it looks like it is going into the moon and the moon in vice versa looks like its getting captured by the tree so I enjoyed being able to play with contrast using this piece. This piece brings me back to when I would sit outside in the balcony during quarantine and just read the Harry Potter series from book 1 to book 7 and when it came to nighttime I would just sit and look at the stars.

I love taking photos and its honestly not as easy as it seems. It helps me relieve stress and takes me on an adventure to explore different lighting and ideas around that one single shot. You can take a bunch of shots and sometimes only one turns out great and is the best shot.
