"Someone to Watch Over Me" is a classic jazz standard composed by George and Ira Gershwin. This song was incorporated into the classic musical "Crazy For You" in which Gershwin's works makeup the soundtrack. I was introduced to this piece as I am currently performing in this musical, but I took my own spin on the arrangement during my college application process. I am extremely passionate about all things music, and am beyond grateful for the performance experiences and opportunities offered to me through my multiple artistic outlets. It is in these groups that I am learning about jazz and a cappella, while also learning to sight read sheet music and teach vocal arrangements to other passionate artists. With the help and support from my artistic mentors, I have been able to grow to where I am today with this performance. Ultimately, I am proud of my artistic drive and tenacity to have performed such a beautiful song.
