The piece represents my hope for the environment's future: the profitability of renewable energy and the fact that my generation is very focused on preventing climate change. In the background and foreground, I depict a tree and many bushes with the sun peaking out from behind the leaves, creating a light dappling effect. I used a digital texture brush in different sizes, opacities, and colors to make the leaves. In the center, I illustrate a little boy sitting on a tree swing with a backpack looking out at the nature. Additionally, I embedded a solar panel in the backpack. This scene is meant to express how we can integrate renewable energy into our lives and how this generation can and should be a part of this change to heal the planet. If we do so, we will still be able to live in a world with dappled sunlight and luscious greenery.

Expressing my creativity allows me to communicate and connect with those who interact with my pieces. Just as art helps me work through my emotions, it can help viewers do so too. My goal for my art is to elicit hope in others, especially with art focusing on heartbreaking topics.
