Save Me From This World

My artwork is based off of struggles I've dealt with as a young teenager, I struggled (and still struggle) with body dysmorphia and insecurities, so I drew what it felt like to be 15 and in a generation (generation z) where looks seem more important than personality and where "pretty privilege" is more recognizable than humanity. I decided to submit drawings that correlate to beauty standards, insecurities I've struggled with, and body dysmorphia because the pieces I drew symbolize growth and brings awareness to others that feel like they aren't worth anything, I want those people to feel less alone and to show them that there are ways to cope with that feeling and that you can learn to be happy with yourself.

Drawing is an outlet, it helps me cope with stress or other hardships I have faced. I think it impacts me because it reminds me that anything can be meaningful and beautiful, that everyone has different ways of coping. Exploring art gives me a better understanding of a person or concept.
