My short film is a passion type of film. Where it's about when I arrived here in San Francisco from Jakarta, Indonesia where I was raised for 10 years. This idea of me and my brother moving back to San Francisco (because I was born in SF), was already discussed since I was in the 6th grade. But there were a few things that held my parents back to move me and my brother at such a young age. Until covid struck and it was now or never. So we waited for me and my little brother to graduate middle school and elementary for him and all we could do was wait because there was a lockdown in Jakarta for a long time. Until an SFUSD school called and said if we don't arrive here by the end of the month, my brother will be off the school list. So my dad kept finding a flight to get there and then he did... It was in 5 days. In that 5 days, we packed everything and were ready to say goodbye to our loved ones but I personally wasn't ready mentally. So adjusting was very hard for me here, with the teenage slangs and many culture shocks. My dad always told me to find a community, a Christian one since we are Christians. Though this is just an example, this film isn't completely about Christianity, it's mainly about how important it is to find 'your kind of people' in a foreign place, especially as an immigrant in SAN FRANCISCO, a crazy diverse city. Because if you find 'your people' it's gonna be amazing.

In what I believe, my God has a plan for my life. He put this and that challenges in my life for a life lesson or a test of faith. Basically, what or who He puts in my life for a reason. Same as filmmaking, you as a filmmaker will show or even emphasize a certain object or scene for a reason.
