I started with a needle and thread and drew the rose and cactus over a piece of cloth. I got a laptop and looked at photos of both the cactus and rose. I started sketching them out on the cloth. After that, I embroidered the rose first and then the cactus. I poked myself a few times with the needle but I still finished because I wanted to learn how to do embroidery.

This project made a big impact on me because I come from Mexico and my family does embroidery. When we started doing this project, I felt excited because it was my first time working with embroidery.
