Poetry In Motion

Kaavya C.

  • Poetry In Motion: a comment on my daily struggle with body dysmorphia. Using chalk pastels, I have illustrated a shattered image of someone I perceive to be struggling with body dysmorphia. The portrait notes that people fixate on flaws that are invisible from an outside perspective. While making this piece, I learned the importance of color usage in depicting different moods. I challenged myself by only using two colors throughout the portrait.

  • My artistic skills help me cope with various life occurrences and accurately depict my introspections. Creativity is the notion of any form of self-expression.
