My art piece is called 'Peaceful Dragon'. The art medium for my sculpture is clay. This is an emerald green dragon with detailed engraved scales holding a giant grey rocky boulder whilst sleeping peacefully. The dragon has semi-white teeth to show the imperfections of the dragon. It has dark green detailing to contrast the shiny emerald green of the dragon's body. The wings on the back are even darker showing a bold look hiding behind the boulder. The wings are in a curved shape and placed at different points on the back to look more natural. They are also pointed up to show happiness like a dog when its tail wags. The boulder has indentations and bumps as well as different shades of grey, to represent a realistic look of the boulder overall. The dragon is meant to be a character of my imagination and not to represent how a real dragon would look like. Just like this dragon, when I'm sleeping I'm most peaceful and happy. In my sleep, I imagine a world unexplainable, with characters that I make up. This dragon represents me and shares a little part of who I am. It has imperfections, shows a sign of peaceful sleep, shows happiness, and overall is a character representing my broad and wonderful world of imagination.

The more creative I am, the more naturally my imaginative world expands. Exploring new ways to put my imagination in my hands, I work outside my comfort zone. It allows me to have more fun, and feel adventurous. Having expressed myself more often, my world has become more colorful daily.
