Moral Standing

Hui Ying Y.

  • I get ideas from internal monologues that I have with myself spontaneously. Sometimes, it takes me a few hours to understand what I'm thinking, but when I do, I start to put those conversations on paper. I often find myself getting carried away when I write these internal monologues down because it's repeating what I already know, which triggers another monologue. It's a rather confusing process but nonetheless gratifying to understand.

  • Creating original work allows me to take a step back from monotonous schoolwork and reconnect with myself. I enjoy mixing real-life events and imaginary aspects together to create a more realistic "what if" scenario that I can dive deep into to forget the world around me.
