This year, I have been auditioning for colleges in order to be accepted into their BFA acting conservatories. My biggest passion in life is acting and performing on stage and I am so excited to be taking this next step in both my personal and academic goals. While the process has been very long, stressful, and time-consuming, it has also been incredibly rewarding and has increased my excitement for this next chapter of my life even more. One of the requirements for these college auditions is that you need to prepare two monologues, each under 90 seconds. After months of searching for the perfect monologues for me, I decided on the two that are included in my submission: Antigone from Jean Anouilh’s Antigone, and Mae from Sam Shepard’s Fool For Love. I am incredibly proud of all of the work I have put into these pieces and I am very excited to share them.

My entire life, It’s been extremely difficult for me to communicate my emotions and struggles through words. In recent years, I’ve found that expressing myself through forms of creative expression, such as performing, allows me to discuss my inner thoughts in a productive and positive way.
