Some of my artwork reflects my own personal experiences and others are inspired by instances that have occurred. I find it easiest to write when it is authentic because I know exactly how I want to describe it due to it already happening to me. Utilizing writing to help solidify messages or memories into my mind helps me remember them better and express any unspoken feelings since I struggle to express myself verbally. The best type of artwork stems from my grief. Allowing me to release the pent up feelings of confusion, anger, sadness, and loss. This has become a vital source to my mental health as I always turn to writing during my struggles. Knowing there are others out there who may possibly be struggling with the same issues only inspires me to create more in order to let individuals know they aren't alone. As soon as I am left in emotional turmoil by an event that went wrong or from an unexpected loss, I open up my computer and write the first thing that comes to mind. From there I take off with vomiting everything onto the page and editing later. This makes my pieces more raw for me but the more emotional I am I feel the more I can make a connection to readers.

Expressing my creativity through writing has allowed me to traverse my grief and unpack emotions I otherwise find difficult to speak about. It also allows me to reach out and connect to others by sharing my work and writing about people I love.
